Crewe Hall Concert – 16/06/2008
Our sixth Crewe Hall concert saw many new faces attending their first concert which is always a delight to see. We want as many people as possible to get pleasure from the SCYM performances.
There were two world premieres this evening, both written by David Ketley with one played by Jamie and Emma Spencer and the other performed by Ian Raisbeck. Ian also wants to perform the piece at his forthcoming recital at St Mary's Church, Nantwich.
As ever, there was a wide variety of musical styles, from Mozart to Andrew Lloyd Webber with everything in between. Instruments included various brass and horns, piano, clarinet, vibraphone and marimba with Gemma Robertson performing three vocal pieces. Jessica Adams was playing flute with us in her first SCYM concert.
There were 11 performers in total with ages ranging from 13 to 23.
