Crewe Hall Concert – 08/02/2010

Our first concert of 2010 was held in the long gallery at Crewe Hall, and once again proved to be a huge success.

There were three young performers making their debut with us - Emma Madeley (Clarinet), Molly Williams (Flute), and Louisa Turner (Soprano), and all performed wonderfully well despite some backstage nerves!

The average age at this concert was just over fifteen and a half, and was in fact the youngest group we have ever had at Crewe Hall.

During the interval SCYM were delighted to be able to present Laura Stubbs with a cheque for £500 towards her purchase of a Saxophone.

Laura will be studying music at Leeds University later this year, and needs to purchase a new instrument before starting her studies there. We all wish her well and hope that she will be able to pop back from time to time to play at some of our events later in the year.
