2012 Competition Rules

1. Entrants must be 19 years of age or under at entry date.
   
   
2. All entries must be submitted in full score on manuscript paper and be accompanied by an Entry Form.
   
   
3. The composition must last no longer than 4 minutes, and may be written for solo instrument or small group of no more than 4 instruments.
   
   
4. Candidates can include a computerised audio version with their score – this is purely optional.
5. The Judges may decide to award prizes for different styles of music depending on the entries received (e.g. Jazz, Minimalism, Modern Classic etc).
   
   
6. Copyright will remain with the composer.
   
   
7. The closing date is Friday, 6th July, 2012.
   
   

The Awards Night will be at an SCYM Concert on a date yet to be decided. The writer of the overall winning entry will receive a cheque for £100.
